hello dear readers of this one page! i'm here to tell you that i'm starting a new blog over here. at least i'm going to try. my previous blog appleontheroad.tumblr.com has somehow gone out of track and so i thought i am going to try this other platform. the last push really was when i saw my friend Sevdas blog - a pure inspiration (make sure to follow her once in a while) just to go get and do it, how hard (or actually easy) can it be just pic a theme that you like and start experimenting? even though it took me months (and even more months) to just make a few clicks here i am, in the new year, in a new month making a statement. i hope it lasts.
so here's something for the start - something rather unusual for me to post, it's not photography but my iPad doodling of recently. i discovered a few very interesting and so much fun apps that i just can't wait to come back home from work and doodle around some nonsense, or of course some feathers, kind of my specialisation of a few years.
this is feather no.1 - the first one i drew on the app Paper53 and found it pretty cool to mix the additionally bought tools and colour mixer.
this was feather no.2 i doodled also on paper53 on iPad, discovering more possibilities of mixing colors
one thing let to another, i posted the previous one on instagram and got the advice to try out yet another iPad app ProCreate. and this blew me even more away.. all the possibilities you have in that one! yet not too much, it's still simple to get the basics by little bits as the app gives you automatical advice on new steps. beautiful! loved it and keep loving it.
as i was thinking i can do anything, actually ANYTHING i wanted i started just enjoying the process without thinking about the end result at all. so while on my day off, in bed for hours, watching documentaries about elephants and wolves, i was doodling more on ProCreate iPad app, and this little thing emerged my brain dot by dot.
and finally the last one i did for now. on instagram i somehow bumped into this artist Britt Bass in Atlanta USA and was so positively surprised how simple and beautiful her canvases are!! so i wanted to just relax before falling asleep and let the iPad stylus just float around the screen and get closer to what it maybe feels to create one of those images. i adore staying abstract, stepping out of lines and creating a totally new image language. i will definitely keep on experimenting with this technique.
+ + +
i guess that's it for a start. i hope you enjoyed your stay and hope to get your peek another time soon. and just imagine how happy a comment would make me feel ,-)
cheers to all and to all a good night! January 23rd Helgoland
