Winter is almost gone and all we talk about is the scents outside the house - it smells like spring, my aunt said the other day. Now tulips are changing narcissi bouquets and vice versa on out kitchen table. And I guess it will be like always – few more Sunday breakfasts and we'll be in the middle of the blossoming tree season.
Here's some inspiration for you and me – a photo session from last August in the very neat Tropical Garden Hamburg – so worth an afternoon trip every time when visiting this city, and it's free entrance as well. And hey – take this as an inspiration for the weekend and spring, I'm observing right now how important it is to get some inspiration on the go, without the pressure of an everlasting impact or greatness with it. Just take it now for this hour or the day or the weekend. And then – more inspiration from others are there around the corner just waiting to be inhaled by your brain and fulfil their sense.
Now I must mention, I’m very happy I’ve done well on staying firm and content about my attitude to the dark winter season: I refused to pressure myself for any forced communication, outgoingness or activities that are making me feel overwhelmed in this cold time of many pullover layers and wet feet. Winter for me means lighting candles, tea pots, comfy leggings and wool socks all the time, and I rather want to sleep a lot with my sexy love – the Hot-Water Bottle. I don't like to freeze in the subway station, to get icicle toes, soar throat, running nose on the bicycle in the dark. In winter, I am an animal, a bear and I want to fully enjoy a winter just the way a bear would – cuddled up in her big warm fur and stay sleeping in her den for the season.
But now I feel it – earlier sunrises and later sunsets make me more vital and slowly wake me from that snug hibernation. The light outside as if fills out the whole space above and asides, brighter with every rising sun. With the beginning of March, where I grew up, it's kind of official – the Spring is here now. And everyday now that I go outside I want to breath in the air more deeply.
Oh come photo sessions under blossoming trees, hammocks with books in hands and coast-line walks!
Oh and here's more inspiration, which is a super great inspiration for me right now – it's a new blog I've been scrolling through the past couple of months and finding my digital happy place. Enjoy the dive in to the green.
